"Airport hotel"6th March 2013, samikkonen, Savonlinna, Finland
Good and modern airport hotel. It is easy to get to the airport by airport bus (about 10min drive, 1,30€). Novotel dont have free wifi for customers, if you want go online you have to order online time. Charged in room bill or by credit card. Breakfast awailable for early travellers also.
"No frills - great rest at Novotel Muenchen Airport"20th January 2013, Joerg738, Auckland Region, New Zealand
Upsides:You get a Novotel experience and among the Novotels this is one of the best ones I have ever stayed at. Everything is very clean and tidy and you get an excellent rest aheadof your busy next day. Rooms are extra quiet and the bathroom is very inviting. When travelling with older children there is no split room option, which is a mild downside, butoften tolerable for just a single night stay. The Restaurant serves good food, but is slightly overpriced and limited in choices, taking advantage of the isolated location. However, they aim to provide five star food experience and get very close. The bar is nice.Thumbs up for the breakfast buffet service which is available from 4am for anyone, andso you can get a bite before early departure. Unfortunately, the buffet was a mess by thetime we arrived at 5:30am which somewhat spoiled the experience, together with the lack of a shuttle and the lack of information on how to get to/from the terminals.Downsides:Munich Airport is a vast area and the Novotel is in the middle of nowhere. Buses run to the place on a regular basis, but the hotel has no shuttle. Travel to/from terminals is quick, but you have to walk to the public bus stop and the walk is not covered, so you get wet in the rain and you crowd with other people in the public bus stop. Its a stark contrast to the otherwise excellent and friendly stay at the Novotel.
"Happy New Year and thank you!"6th January 2013, vnaysmith, Oslo, Norway
The room was stuffy which made it difficult to sleep and the bathroom door was difficult to close. The breakfast service was slow, but the staff seemed professional, albeit skeptical which can be experienced as offensive. . There were not enough coffee cups in the room. We enjoyed the fitness room and sauna. My husband says that the internet should be free.
"A very modern airport hotel with resonable price"28th December 2012, CostasLeuven_Belgium, Leuven, Belgium

"A winter visit"16th December 2012, DoLucy, Bedfordshire
This was my first visit to Munich to see the Christmas Market. I decided to stay at the airport hotel because my stay was only for a couple of days.I took the airport bus to the hotel and this journey was short and cheap. The hotel allowed me to check-in but as my room was not ready I left my bag and took the train (station within walking distance from hotel). I required additional pillows and these were provided very quickly. The booking I had made included breakfast. This was the only blot on my stay. The coffee was horrible and the small flask provided did not keep the coffee hot nor even warm. I had to ask twice for another one but neither of these were any better. Perhaps the restaurant could provide warm milk to go with the coffee, which should be made when the customer arrives down for breakfast.I also did not like the fact that I was forced to provide my credit card when I had already paid for my booking in the UK. Really did the hotel think I would clear out the drinks in my room? I have stayed at other hotels in other European cities and not been asked for this, so why in this one?
"Excellent hotel for staying near Munich"6th October 2012, ghharth3, Medina, Ohio, USA
It is hard to beat the combination of having a superb hotel with easy connections into Munich and the airport at rates below the rates within the city. Both the bus and train to Munich go right by the Novotel. The restaurant is also very good for breakfast and dinner. They have a very good selection for breakfast. The rooms are well appointed and quiet with good air conditioning.
"Hotel Review"2nd October 2012, rmaggiora, Palo Alto, California, USA
The hotel was very comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the location very convenient for airport access. Will definitely stay here again in the future! I, however, do not like your review system, as I have more than fulfilled the 100 character requirement, but still not allowed to finish the review. If, after finishing this sentence, the red warning is still visible, I will just exit and delete my review, and my review to you will be lost.
"Hotel met our expectations"26th September 2012, NinaJayP, Kilkenny, Ireland
We recently stayed at the Novotel Munich Airport at the beginning of the Oktoberfest and all our expectations were met. Firstly we got checked into a room where the previous guest must have been smoking, room was changed for us straight away. Our little daughter got a little cuddly elephant at check in and was delighted ! little things like that can make a big difference. buffet breakfast choice amazing. good connection with S Bahn to city center and bus only Eur 1.20/ person to the airport. good value for money overall.
"Novotel Munich Airport"24th September 2012, adolfoMontreal, Montreal
A basic hotel suited for the business travel for a short stay. Typical, basic Novotel room. Clean, functional but still basic. Service both a reception and in the bar was friendly and efficient and the breakfast buffet was generous/plentiful.
"Fantastic airport hotel"23rd May 2012, shallots, Washington DC
I stayed in an executive room for one night. The room was clean and spacious with separate bathroom and separate toilet room. In an executive room, the minibar is free, it contained 2 bottles of beer, soft drinks, mineral waters, chips and chocolate. Reception told me that room service in executive rooms are free too, but I didn't take advantage of it, opting instead to eat in the hotel restaurant. Executive room guests also has free access to a club lounge, which requires the use of the room keycard to open. It contains free coffee, tea, soft drinks and a couple of computers one can use for free in 20 minute increments.Hotel restaurant was good. All dinners start with a free amuse-bouche and lots of breads. The dishes were tasty though the portion sizes were small. The hotel bar was nice. I ordered a glass of wine and was given a big glass 3/4 filled at the price of 7 euros. Well worth it because they really fill up the glass so you get your money's worth. Now lots of people here have complained about a lack of direct shuttle service to the airport. But the city bus that stops at the curb outside the hotel is just like a shuttle. It has a short route that goes around Terminals 1 & 2, MAC (Munich Airport Center), a subway station outside the airport, the Novotel hotel and one stop beyond. Then it loops back all over again. Buses run every 20 minutes and cost 1.20 euros one way. The fare is on the honor system because if you board the bus through the rear doors, no one checks and the passengers at the back of the bus don't seem to pay using the ticket validation boxes. Once you get used to the bus the lack of a direct shuttle is not a problem.Overall I would stay in this hotel again the next time I am in Munich for a short layover. I usually stay at the Sofitel downtown but it was sold out this time so I opted to stay here as I had an early morning flight and didn't want to have a long commute in the morning.
"Great stay for business"1st May 2012, FCS2, Detroit, Michigan, USA
I had a very comfortable stay. The hotel accomodated my business needs with well designed and appointed rooms. Breakfast was the best I have had in Europe. I will be returning on future trips.

"Comfortable stay"1st March 2012, DavidJerseyCI, Jersey CI
Hotel is a bus ride away from airport. Costs in region of €1.30 per person for about a 10 minute ride.Reception staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Immediately rectified a booking error on there system to enable us to have two rooms close to each other. This was a feature of all staff we came into contact with - room service and bar staff,Rooms were comfortable and clean. Need to pay for wi-fi if you want it. Considering close to runway did not hear a plane taking off or landing. As it was raining we decided to take taxi back to airport terminal. This was around €10 and was worthwhile.
"Great but acess could be easier"24th February 2012, Paul W, London, United Kingdom
The hotel, service & value were superb, but options for access without a car are limited, especially after the public bus service stops at 23:00. Just too far from the S-Bahn with luggage, and an expensive taxi ride for just a few minutes.
"Great stay - twice in a week!"23rd February 2012, London, United Kingdom
Very good access to Munich airport - shuttle bus stops outside - every 20 mins and takes about allow 10mins.Staff really excellent, will store your ski gear if you ask them.Modern and very clean hotel
"No shuttle"13th February 2012, Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
The location of this hotel is ideal to the airport - the only drawback is that they rely on the local bus service which runs every 20 minutes from across the road in order to get you to the airport terminal. That is a hassle when you're loaded down with suitcases etc.
